Tonight finds us here at Camp Spartan Chassis in Charlotte, MI. Repairs and maintenance are complete but we are going to hang out here, hooked up to 50 amps, until Sunday morning.
We had all fluids and filters replaced, the tires rotated, a wheel alignment and most important, they found the steering problem. In their words: the slip shaft which connects the steering wheel to the steering box has a u-joint on each end. One or both of the u-joints had bound up. So we now have a new shaft. Judy thought I was just getting weak so now I am vindicated. Dealing with the problem here was simple. On down the road we would have had to wait while parts were ordered. Here they have the parts on the shelf.
Tomorrow we need to work on finding a place for everything, mount the 2 TV's, and just relax. Sunday we go down to Bremen, IN to get finished up at Precision Painting and we need to be in Dallas 0n Nov 16th to have new window shades installed. Then we will finally be finished with the remodeling for awhile and the wandering can begin.

So this is one occasion in which you didn't mind getting the shaft, right?
I just found your blog and have really enjoyed reading and following your upgrades. We want to replace our carpet next. Tile is my first choice. We are still enjoying our MCD shades... you will love yours.
I also just discovered Because We Can II through your site. I have been reading their journal for several years and thought they had stopped posting.
I look forward to catching up on your travels/adventures.
Take care,
Gerri (happytrails)
